Tibetan Bell & Dorje Sets
The Tibetan
Bell and Dorje are typical ritualistic items used
in Tibetan Buddhist rituals to call the
presence of the Buddha. They are predominantly
used before prayer or the chanting of mantras whereby
one would "sing" the bell to empty the
mind of worldly matters and to help focus on meditation.
This can help in dispelling stress and tension.
In Tibetan Buddhism the Dorje is said to be used
by Tibetan Gods to make lightning.
What
it represents:
The Bell is used to represent wisdom and
femininity of the divine goddess.
The Dorje in Tibetan Buddhism is said to be
used by Tibetan Gods to make lightning and as such
is known as the ‘thunderbolt’. It also
represents the balance of gender as this is seen
as a masculinity pointing towards the creative forceful
male energy.
How
to Use:
Dorje: Placed between the thumb and the
forefinger of the right hand one makes a circled
motion with their wrist in a clockwise direction
whilst holding the bell.
Bell: Held in the left hand ring
the bell, as the sound of the bell resonates, together
they balance the negative with the positive to harmonize
ones life and surroundings. These as well as the
tingshas can be used by feng shui practitioners
for space clearing.
